The heaventree of stars hung with humid nightblue fruit.

James Joyce, Ulysses (1922)
What do you think this looks like? I have an image in my mind but I have not been able to find a representation that fits. The words are beautiful.

The first thing that came to mind when I read the word nightblue is Van Gogh's vibrant, verberate painting, Starry Night.

Even the hanging gold orbs remind me of fruit.

Oh! Thanks momrn2. I wondered where all that traffic was coming from. It's nice to be back, exchanging comments with you guys again! Thank you for dropping in over here. I like it when you do.

Nice association, Kim. Starry night is a great painting. I really like how you describe the hanging gold orbs as fruit. I hadn't thought of them like that till now, but you're right!

Reminds me of Job 38:37

Or who can tilt the waterskins of the heavens,
