Are they playing soccer? I think it's very odd how soccer has made almost no inroads into North America. I wonder if all those soccer-playing little kids are going to become huge soccer fans when they grow up?
Cricket. But you can't see anyone in the picture because rain has stopped play. They have the tarps over the pitch. Cricket hasn't really made inroads to America, either, has it?
I don't think they've even heard of it - they think it's a British myth that is talked about on tea towels. Rugby is starting to make an impact on Brazilian universities, apparently ....
Did you get to go?
It makes a change - the Aussies are the better team, but England had seriously underperformed for the last year or so ....
I was there, sitting in the rain, watching. Well, so much for Australia being the better team, England played much better on the day. I would have liked to see if Australia could have come back if the overs did not have to be reduced, but then, that would have been a completely different game. England deserved to win and I suppose we had to let them go home with something. ;)

A gracious Australian - kinda. You surprise me in so many ways, Mell.
