In answer to your questions and responses:

No, I didn't take the picture but I do love it.

And yes, I think rowing is fun but it is also torture! I spent a few hours at the school boat shed the other day and I rigged a boat while I was there. I loved it so much - even though I broke all of my nails and ended up completely dirty. There is something satisfying about manual labour.

I loved the sound of the water lapping up onto the shore as I worked. The glimmer of the water through the floor boards was so tranquil and beautiful as was the sun setting over the water at the end of the day. I could take up rowing if only I had the time...and the fitness!
